Football Fans Find a Home for Their Hilarious Terrace Chants


A website dedicated to hilarious football chants is fast becoming an internet phenomenon.


[PressFlow.co.uk, May 28 2008] The website - terracechants.me.uk - is seeing huge numbers of footie fans log on to enjoy the creativity found on the terraces up and down the country.

It's the brainchild of IT expert Billy Smithers, who says: "I made the site because I wanted to know how some chants went so I searched the internet and couldn't find a site I liked about football chants.

"I just wanted something people would be able to find easily and enjoy chants about their favourite team or player and rate the best.

"I also wanted users to send in their own chants so the site was a collection of chants from football fans everywhere."

The 32-year-old from Hull added: "I also wanted the site to capture the wit and humour of football supporters through the chants they make up. From the feedback I get I think that's something that comes across really well."

Now the Nottingham Forest fan hopes the site will become a resource for fans around the country and inspire other creative and funny chants.
