Sage Media Wins Dual Graphic Design Awards for Product Packaging
Designer Chanie Pritchard of Sage Media was awarded with two DFGD Awards for the design of packaging for Nature's Envy Apple Chips, and Mi Abuelita Coquito.
[PressFlow.co.uk, Jan 05 2009] DesignFirms recently announced the winners of their 2008 Graphic Design Awards, among which were two product packaging designs created by Canadian corporate design studio, Sage Media.
The designs awarded in this competition included product packaging for Nature's Envy Apple Chips, and for Mi Abuelita Coquito. Sage Media was commissioned to design the branding and packaging the for both of these products.
The DFGD Awards recognize visually stimulating graphic media within the field of Graphic Design, rated individually (from 33 points each) for Creativity, Design and Impact. Both awards given to Sage Media this year rated a perfect score of 99.
The Nature's Envy Apple Chips design reflects a vibrant, natural product offering, perfectly suited for a healthy snack food consisting of all-natural ingredients like fresh-picked apples and cinnamon.
The Mi Abuelita Coquito designs are based on a bright, festive tropical theme. Coquito is a traditional blend of coconut, vanilla, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, milk and Puerto Rican rum. Originally released under the brand Mi Abuela, the product itself has also received glowing reviews.
Both products are currently distributed in the United States.
